Aljaž Lavrič is a Slovenian artist / photographer working between documentary and conceptual practices. His projects explore place and its treatment, where methodology becomes a form of storytelling itself - approaching each project as an unfolding experiment. Using photography as both a recording tool and means of translation, he examines how images construct meaning. His approach blends fieldwork with studio and darkroom experimentation, allowing processes to shape his work.
He completed his bachelor's degree at the Academy of Arts in Nova Gorica, spent a year on exchange at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, and is currently finishing his master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. He continues to develop projects that question photography's stability, treating images as permeable surfaces rather than fixed documents.
